About Us
Sue Leep Owner
Sue is a 40 year veteran trainer, rider, and USEF judge in the hunter and jumper industry . Over the years she has ridden, trained, coached and sold many state, zone, and national contenders from the Chicago area, as well as Nevada and California. After years of training and traveling to many horse shows throughout the year including the Desert Circuit in Coachella CA. Sue
decided to switch gears,and she now owns and operates, Vision Quest One Equine Appraisals based out of Barrington, IL.. She also co-hosts an educational clinic series that brings in top professionals to the area to educate in the hunter, and jumper disciplines.
In 2009 Sue was instrumental in bringing the $30,000.00 Franktown Hunter Derby to Carson City Nevada. a top quality charity competition event, and was the only standalone annual derby of its kind in the nation. This event draws the best horses and riders on the West coast. Over the years, Sue has served in different positions for the event which includes signing sponsorships, and co - commentating, as well as general support, and event liaison.
Sue Is also USEF "R" judge holding licenses in the hunter, jumper, and Hunt seat equitation divisions and traveling to judge some of the top horses in the country.
Wanting to use her expertise in the appraisal area, Sue became certified by the American Society of Equine Appraisers and is currently perusing more education in the expert witness field.
